The Nature of Salento
Masseria Giamarra is an old farmhouse that has been renovated respecting the original materials of the time and the original furnishings of the place. Staying in our masseria you will feel as if you are going back in time and living in an ancient village even though you are in a holiday farm in Otranto.
Of the original structure, in fact, the star vaults remain intact, so high as to allow the suites to be built on two levels; the thick walls, which insulate from the summer heat; the stone fireplaces, the volumetric and planimetric relationship; the interplay of full and empty spaces, the openness to the rural environment and other elements typical of the local architecture.
